The war in Syria has killed hundreds of thousands of people, left half of Syrian civilians homeless, and has created the worst refugee crises the world has ever seen.
Russia and the U.S. are the major powers on either side. The US. is supporting the Syrian rebels who are fighting the Assad regime. The Russians however, in hopes of maintaining an ally in the middle east, are fighting for Assad, referring to the rebel groups as the real terrorists.
The conflict has been going on for a while, and in the midst of the fighting and bombing, hospitals, schools, and homes have been used a targets of war.
The U.S. and Russia must come to a resolution and hold a successful ceasefire.
